Reports reaching the Satellite News desk indicate that, there is big shake-up in the Republic of the Sierra Leone Armed Forces, (RSLFA), following the massive transfer of senior officers ranging in rank from Brigadier General to Lieutenant Colonel. Mohamed Kamara Repots
According to our source, thirty nine senior military officers, which include, Six Brigadier Generals, Thirteen Colonels and Twenty Lieutenant Colonels have been transferred to different units across the country nationwide with immediate effect. Though, reason for the mass transfer in the military rank and file was not disclosed, but the promulgation of the postings and appointments of these senior officers took place on Friday 1st September, 2017, through a memo signed by Colonel M.S Fofanah.
The Six affected Brigadier.Generals are as follow:, D.T.O. Taluva, P.K Lavahun, D. Yanka, A. Bangura, S.I Sesay and R. B, Harleston. While the thirteen Colonels include: B.K Conteh, L.Y Tucker, A. Fefegula, V.V Samba, A.B. Conteh, S.I Kanu, M.S Fornah, G.M. Bangura, M.M Hashim, A.B. Jalloh, D. Alpha, H.S Jomo and A.B.S. Bah. The twenty affected Lieutennant Colonels also include:J.E.S. Coker, C.A. Thoronka, A.S. Bockarie, R.S Conteh, H.S Jalloh, J.R. Tucker, I.S. Kamara, F.M Jalloh, B. Conteh, J. John, M.M. Kposowa, K.F. Kanu, A. Taylor Kamara, S.T Sesay, M. Bangura, K. Kamara and four others.
